Often tied with Jessica Jones as the best Marvel series on Netflix, it's easy to see why there is a lot of fans excited for the premiere of Daredevil season 3. There seem to be a lot of monumental changes coming to the character and his supporting cast, which seems to be the way to go with the current crop of Marvel-Netflix characters. Look at what happened to Iron Fist and Luke Cage.
During an interview with CBR, actress Deborah Ann Woll revealed that we would finally find out the backstory of Karen Page, the character she plays. We've only gotten a few hints from the first two seasons but the third will go full bore on her backstory. While Woll didn't give away all of the details, she did imply that it won't be a pleasant one.
"I want whatever happened to be something that was my fault. That this isn't a story about misplaced guilt, this is a story of forgiveness and acceptance. That I did something really wrong, and the rest of my life has been about atoning for it."
Though not spilling the beans, Woll admits that she couldn't be happier with the backstory that was made for her character in the show. She also reveals that Page will be going through a big change in wardrobe, skipping pencil skirts and high heel shoes for something more comfortable. Woll made it seem like Page will get into a couple of fights, though she will have to win these encounters with her brains and not her brawn.
Considering Page's current status in the comics (she's dead), a lot of fans are thinking that this version of the character will share that same fate thanks to the introduction of Bullseye. This mad assassin killed her with Daredevil's own billy club during Kevin Smith's eight-issue run with the character. Admittedly, Karen wasn't written too well in that story but it's still a moment that the character thinks about.
Daredevil season 3 comes out this Friday, on October 19.
