Marvel Fans are Clamoring for Romance After Brie Larson/Don Cheadle Twitter Conversation

It looks like Marvel fans are getting themselves all worked up over a conversation between Captain Marvel star Brie Larson and War Machine actor Don Cheadle online.

Cheadle just recently shared a photo of himself and Larson sitting side by side with the same pose in a post on Twitter, tagging the Captain Marvel star in a caption jokingly asking her "why you be copying?" The actress was quick to respond, playing along with her Avengers: Endgame co-star.

"That's easy," Larson replied. "I wanna be more like you!"

The exchange might be short and may have nothing to do with Marvel, but it seems like Marvel fans have decided to read a little bit too much into the interaction between the two. Somehow, fans have decided to imagine a certain comic book romance coming to life in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

For the uninitiated, Captain Marvel and War Machine shared a romance for a short period of time in the comic books. The Marvel Cinematic Universe isn't really building up towards that kind of relationship between the two right now, but we understand why fans would clamor over the idea of seeing James Rupert "Rhodey" Rhodes and Carol Danvers together.

Perhaps Marvel could explore a relationship between the two in future films of the franchise. The studio might not have marked a film for War Machine or a second standalone film for Captain Marvel just yet, but anything is possible really. We'll just have to cross our fingers and wait and see.

Phase 4 of the MCU begins when Black Widow premieres on May 1, 2020.
