Marvel Studios Developing Multiple Black Panther Spinoff Projects

A lot of MCU fans are anticipating the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as they're curious to see how they are going to handle the passing of T'Challa and how the nation of Wakanda will move forward without him. Now, as the MCU is expanding even further, it looks like we will be seeing more of the African nation in the future.

Speaking recently with Variety, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever producer Nate Moore confirmed that Marvel Studios is developing multiple Black Panther spinoff series for Disney+ that are set in Wakanda. Ryan Coogler's production company, Proximity Media, is also involved in the making of the projects.

"This world is expansive, and there are so many great characters. Beyond what happens with this film, there are more opportunities to go back to Wakanda," he said.

The producer also added that some of the ideas will involve existing characters in the Black Panther films while some of the shows will also feature characters "that would be completely new." When asked how many projects are actually in the works, Moore simply said, "There are no shortage of ideas, let’s put it that way."

It is exciting to hear that Marvel is looking to expand the nation of Wakanda even further in multiple projects. There's no doubt that a lot of MCU fans would love to see more of the nation and stories that will center on some of the supporting characters that don't have a lot of moments yet.

We also know that they are also already developing the "untitled Wakanda series" that will star Danai Gurira reprising the role of Okoye. The project is still in the development phase as of recently according to an update. For now, let's just wait for more details on these spinoff projects.
