Marvel Confirms Infinity Stones’ MCU Status After the Events of Avengers: Endgame

So, what's become of the Infinity Stones after the epic battle between Thanos and the Avengers in Avengers: Endgame?

While one of Endgame's deleted scenes revealed that the Stones had been reduced to an atomic level, some fans have been holding on to the hope that the gems still existed in one way or another in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Now, it seems like Marvel has decided to take it a step further.

Taking to Instagram, Marvel has decided to confirm the status of the immensely powerful Infinity Stones now that Joe and Anthony Russo's two-part Avengers movie has come to an end. According to Marvel's post, all of the gems are now destroyed.

Of course, while the stones are no longer present in the current timeline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it's worth noting that the gems could exist in other Marvel timelines. After all, multiple timelines were created after the events of the Avengers' time heist in Endgame.

One of these timelines is the one that fans are going to see in Marvel's upcoming Loki series. During Endgame's heist, Loki manages to steal away the Tesseract, otherwise known as the Space Stone. Marvel fans are especially excited for the series. An alternate timeline away from the main MCU films, the Loki series will see the Asgardian God of Mischief using the Tesseract to travel through time to alter human history.

There hasn't been that much news about Loki yet, but we're hoping to learn more about the series once production resumes.

Avengers: Endgame is available for streaming on Disney+.
