Marvel Announces Enormous Avengers Collection, Just in Time For Avengers 4

Avengers 4 is going to be the end of an era for many, as it looks to be the last time we'll be seeing some of the original MCU Avengers, minus Black Widow. Like every Marvel movie, Marvel Comics is releasing a number of graphic novels to entice anyone interested in the original source material after watching it in the cinemas. This time, however, Marvel is going all out and is releasing an enormous comic book set for diehard fans.

On April, Marvel is releasing the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Box Set Slipcase, which collects 11 of the best Avengers stories out there, including the most recent arc from Jason Aaron and Ed McGuiness. There are also a number of stories from Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Roger Stern, Kurt Busiek, George Perez, Brian Michael Bendis, and so much more.

Here is all of the content that will be in this massive collection (via The Hollywood Reporter):

Avengers by Lee & Kirby (#1-16 of the original run); Avengers: The Kree/Skrull War (#89-97); Avengers/Defenders War (#115-118, as well as Defenders #8-11); Avengers: Celestial Madonna (#129-135 and Giant-Size Avengers #2-4); Avengers: The Korvac Saga (#167-168, 170-177 and Thor Annual #6); Avengers: Under Siege (#270-277); Avengers: The Gatherers Saga (#343-344, 348-349, 355-363, 372-374 and material from #364 and 377); Avengers: The Morgan Conquest (1-4 of the third volume); Avengers Forever (all 12 issues of the series of the same name); Avengers: Disassembled (#500-503 and the Avengers Finale special issue); and Avengers: The Final Host (#1-6 of the current series, along with material from this year's Free Comic Book Day 2018: Avengers/Captain America issue).

If we had any complaints, it's that Marvel won't be releasing these hardcovers separately. Most of us won't be able to afford this collection so it would have been nice to have some of these stories re-released in separate hardcovers. Can't win em all I suppose.

The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Box Set Slipcase is scheduled to bow April 13. Avengers 4 comes out on May 3, 2019.
