Mark Ruffalo Wants Hulk/Wolverine MCU Crossover

Mark Ruffalo certainly knows what people want, whether it's Avengers: Infinity War spoilers or a possible collaboration between the Hulk and Wolverine.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe star recently revealed on The Marvelists podcast that he would like to work with Hugh Jackman. Ruffalo admitted that he wants to see Bruce Banner interact with the X-Men's adamantium-clawed mutant in an epic MCU crossover.

"It'd be cool to see. I mean, people talk a lot about Wolverine and Hulk hooking up, I think that would be a really great combo," Ruffalo said. He expressed admiration for Jackman, adding that "it would be cool to do something with him if he's up to doing it." Ruffalo even shared that the Greatest Showman star "always teased Hulk versus Wolverine would be pretty fun."

The idea of seeing Hulk and Wolverine team up on the big screen is certainly a welcome one. After all, the Canadian antihero was first introduced in The Incredible Hulk comic books and his long fights with Banner's alter ego were always amazing. Needless to say, this could be the one crossover fans need when Disney successfully acquires Fox and could be reason enough for Jackman to come out of his X-Men retirement.

Ruffalo also stated that a Black Widow/Hulk collaboration would be "a great combination." MCU had teased a romance between Banner and Natasha Romanoff in Avengers: Age of Ultron although it was never pursued.

The Hulk will return in the still-untitled Avengers 4, which is scheduled for release on May 3, 2019.
