Mark Ruffalo Seemingly Confirms Inclusion In Upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars

It's definitely hard not to wonder how Marvel Studios will top the unforgettable Avengers: Endgame, which served as the culmination of the 10-year run of the Infinity Saga. With Marvel President Kevin Feige greenlighting not just one but two Avengers films slated for Phase 5 and Phase 6, can they really surpass Endgame?

Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner Returns in Avengers: Secret Wars?

Mark Ruffalo – one of the mainstays of the franchise, is set to return in Disney+'s upcoming series, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Although some of his fellow Avengers have already retired after playing the same character for almost a decade, it seems that Ruffalo is eyeing a more eventful future in the Multiverse Saga and even hinted at his inclusion in the next Avengers film: Avengers: Secret Wars.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight while promoting Disney+'s latest series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo contemplated the newly-confirmed Avengers film slated for Phase 5 and 6.

When asked what the actor can tease about the upcoming film, he candidly said that Avengers: Endgame would be "hard to top" but still trusts Marvel President Kevin Feige that the Avengers would "go out with a bang." See Ruffalo's full comment below:

"Well, it’s gonna be hard to top Endgame, but if I know Kevin and if I know Marvel, it’s gonna be pretty amazing. It’ll be a big bang, we’ll go out with a big bang."

Can Avengers: Secret Wars Top Avengers: Endgame?

Avengers: Secret Wars is already foreseen to be as massive as Avengers: Endgame, especially how groundbreaking it is from the source material. However, to be fair, Secret Wars might not still be enormous as Endgame as it basically serves as Part 1 of the Multiverse Saga, noting how it took a total of three films before Marvel Studios launched Endgame.

Nonetheless, Avengers: Secret Wars can absolutely defy all the expectations. Based on what we've seen from several Multiverse projects like Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, this new concept ables characters and actors to either debut or return in the mega-franchise. Several theories also swirled that Marvel vets like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans could reprise their beloved roles, as well as Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire donning the Spider-Man costume again.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will premiere on Disney+ on August 18. Meanwhile, Avengers: Secret Wars is pushing a November 7, 2025 release date.
