I think we can all agree that Mark Hamill is an absolute gem of a human being in and outside the entertainment industry. He's also a social media darling and one of the most beloved personalities on Twitter, thanks to his no-nonsense tweets. Just recently, his name made its way to the social media platform's hot trending topic section which isn't something new, when you think about it. This time around though, he seemingly trended out of nowhere much to the actor's astonishment.
After the matter was brought to his attention, the Luke Skywalker actor responded with a tweet asking fans if they miss him. In a subsequent post, Hamill retweeted a post from another user who asked their followers if they got a "panic attack" when the actor began trending. Turns out, Mark experienced the same thing. In other Mark Hamill news, we still don't know what the future holds for the Star Wars legend in the billion-dollar franchise. The Skywalker saga seemingly marked (no pun intended) his final live-action appearance as Luke Skywalker but it was later revealed that he was still involved in other projects like The Mandalorian.
It's worth noting though that Luke is now in his Force ghost status and with rumors of Lucasfilm producing Episode X potentially top-billed by Daisy Ridley, it wouldn't be farfetched to think that Force Ghost Luke could make an appearance. Hopefully, that's the case because I don't think the fandom is ready to say goodbye to the Jedi master.
