Mark Hamill Posts Some “Wholesome Porg-nography”

Star Wars fans might have been a bit skeptical about the Porgs ever since Lucasfilm announced that Luke Skywalker's little island on Ahch-To would be filled with the noisy little puffins, however, it seems like everyone's been warming up to the cute floofs – even Mark Hamill.

Taking to Instagram, Hamill posted a photoshopped image of Luke spreading his arms in his dark Ahch-To robes with Porgs edited all around him. One porg perched on his arm, three bunched up at the side and one settled right on top of Luke's head, Hamill cracks up a joke and captions the photo "Wholesome porgnography."

Fans have been loving Hamill's little photo, calling Luke the smartest Jedi ever and wondering whether Porgs poop.

Initially, fans were pretty worried that the Porgs would end up a disaster like George Lucas' Ewoks in Star Wars: Episode VI- Return of the Jedi.

Now, it just seems like Porgs are all the rage these days. Somehow one squawking little porg's appearance in the film's first full trailer has managed to charm the Star Wars fan base off its feet, and everyone's excited to see the floof pester Chewie in the upcoming sequel trilogy installment. Sure, some might reason that Porgs are part of Disney's merchandising machine, but we daresay it's a pretty cute one.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas December 15, 2017.
