It's been a full year since The Mandalorian Season 2 premiered its jaw-dropping finale and until now, fans still couldn't help but gush over the fact that Luke Skywalker made his grand comeback to the Star Wars franchise, and understandably so. Now, by the looks of things, the Jedi master will be a main fixture in the MandoVerse moving forward much to the delight of longtime fans of the Star Wars universe.

Star Wars legend Mark Hamill took to Twitter to celebrate the historic moment that is definitely worth reliving over and over. And while he gives his body double Max Lloyd-Jones major props for his portrayal of Luke, he says that the actor is way too good-looking to be believable in the role. He wrote: "Happy Anniversary to the return of Luke on @themandalorian. I'd like to thank my double Max Lloyd-Jones who did a great job, despite being clearly too handsome for the part." As it stands, we still don't know when Luke returns to the franchise but there have been rumblings all over the internet that a solo spinoff is already being planned for him and Grogu aka Baby Yoda.

It would be safe to assume that Lloyd-Jones will continue to play Luke in the MandoVerse but I gotta say, they need to do a better job with the CGI if they also plan to keep Hamill around. Or better yet, just give the role completely to his body double. The fandom wouldn't mind it anyway.

Meanwhile, The Mandalorian Season 3 is expected to drop sometime in 2022.
