Mark Hamill Joins Mike Flanagan's The Fall of The House of Usher Netflix Series

Mark Hamill is a screen legend who has worked on several films and TV shows in his long career. Interestingly, his latest project will have him working with rising horror legend Mike Flanagan. In addition to that, the new Netflix series The Fall of the House of Usher will also star another Skeletor actor Frank Langella.

The official Netflix Geeked Twitter account announced the cast of Mike Flanagan's The Fall of the House of Usher. The upcoming series boasts of an all-star cast that includes Frank Langella, Carla Gugino, Mary McDonnell, Mark Hamill, and Carl Lumby. Check it out below.

Langella will headline the new show as Roderick Usher while McDonnell will portray his twin sister Madeline. Lumbly has been cast as C. Auguste Dupin from The Murders in the Rue Morgue.

Interestingly, Gugino and Hamill's roles have not yet been disclosed. However, there is little doubt that they will be playing truly memorable characters in the anthology series. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

The Fall of the House of Usher will adapt Edgar Allan Poe's horror classic as well as the author's other works. This should explain why Lumbly has been cast in the series despite never appearing in the short story.

Flanagan had previously done something similar with The Haunting of Bly Manor. Although the Netflix show was supposed to adapt The Turn of the Screw, one episode turned out to be an adaptation of Henry James' The Romance of Certain Old Clothes. With that in mind, the new show could do the same thing with Poe's works.

For now, details about The Fall of the House of Usher have not yet been revealed. In addition to that, the series has not yet been given an official production start date or release date.
