The Mandalorian Season 2 aired its season finale a couple of weeks back but a lot of us are still experiencing quite the Star Wars hangover considering how grand the second closed out.

We're still so hyped over Luke Skywalker's stunning return in the hit Disney+ series and apparently, so is Mark Hamill who can't stop gushing over his character's The Mandalorian appearance. Taking to his Twitter account, Hamill took the opportunity to pay a little tribute to Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, the duo that reinvigorated the entire Star Wars franchise.

The veteran actor also stated that it was one of those moments you never knew you needed until it arrived. He wrote: "Sometimes the greatest gifts are the most unexpected and something you never realized you wanted until it was given. #ThankYouJonAndDave" Check out the heartfelt post below:

I'm not gonna lie, even though a lot of us were expecting him to pop up, it was still a goosebump-inducing moment to see Luke show off his Jedi skills and singlehandedly decimate the seemingly indestructible Dark Troopers. Now, fans are calling for a Luke Skywalker spinoff show which will be set during The Mandalorian's timeline, and personally, I'm here for it.

A potential spinoff show featuring Luke could spell huge success for Lucasfilm especially taking into consideration how fans went nuts over his return. Also, this will give us more Grogu screen time which I'm sure no one will complain about.

All episodes of The Mandalorian are available for streaming on Disney+.
