Mark Hamill is one of those A-list celebrities known for his no-nonsense attitude and for the longest time, he has been using his social media platform to express his sentiments regarding socio-political issues. Think Gina Carano, if Gina Carano actually had sensible views on her Twitter page. Kidding aside, the Star Wars veteran has opposing views with the ex-Mandalorian actress who has been spitting conspiracy theories against COVID-19 vaccination. Hamill, on the other hand, has actively been advocating for the said vaccines.

This is why the Luke Skywalker actor couldn't help but get himself involved amid the controversy surrounding NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The entire world of sports has been buzzing about the Green Bay Packers standout after several sources questioned whether or not he's actually vaccinated.

The decorated athlete is being accused of misleading his team with regards to his COVID-19 vaccine status. It was later revealed following his recent COVID diagnosis that Rodgers has in fact not been vaccinated and instead relied on "alternative treatments". Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show (via The Direct), the Pro Bowler came clean and explained himself following the massive backlash he received, all while wearing a familiar piece of geek merchandise.

Rodgers wore a The Rise of Skywalker hoodie during the interview and naturally, it gave Hamill the opening to rip apart the football star. Retweeting a snippet of the said interview, Hamill questioned Aaron's decision to wear a sequel trilogy hoodie out of all the options he could've chosen. He wrote: "Of all the sweatshirts he could have worn, he had to take full responsibility in THAT one?"

It's like hitting two birds with one stone as not only is Hamill an ally of the COVID-19 vaccine movement, he is also reportedly not a fan of how the Skywalker saga ended and quite frankly, he's not alone on that sentiment.

Meanwhile, the divisive finale of the Skywalker Saga — Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is available for streaming on Disney+.
