It looks like Mario Kart is trending on Twitter today, but not because of what many Nintendo fans and gamers think.
Though Mario Kart managed to make it to the top of Twitter's list of trending topics today, gamers were horrified to learn that the game's sudden popularity on the social media platform had nothing to do with any sort of new edition of Nintendo's go-kart-style racing video game series but instead has everything to do with US President Donald Trump.
According to The Huffington Post, adult film actress Stormy Daniel recently went on interview on The View to speak about her tell-all book Full Disclosure and while speaking with the publication, the woman who supposedly had an affair with Trump compared the President's private anatomy to "the mushroom character in Mario Kart."
The national spotlight was focused on Daniels for a time after a federal investigation revealed that the former porn star had an affair with Trump and though the president denied that they were together back in 2006, the adult film actress received $130,000 before the 2016 presidential election as a bribe to keep her quiet about the affair.
Daniel's Full Disclosure reveals the details of the affair she had with Trump back in 2006, and in one very colourful description in the book the porn star says that she "lay there, annoyed that I was getting fucked by a guy with Yeti pubes and a dick lick the mushroom character in Mario Kart."
Once they learned about the truth behind Mario Kart's sudden popularity on Twitter this Tuesday, gamers were utterly horrified, putting out meme after meme after meme.
What's even worse is that Nintendo Life posted an image of the "mushroom character in Mario Kart" celebrating its little "victory" on Twitter not knowing that the real reason behind Mario Kart's jump on the top of the trend list is Trump's privates. Thankfully they posted an apology on Twitter.
A description of Trump's presidential private parts is definitely not something that Nintendo Life should be celebrating, and gamers probably wish they didn't know the real reason why Mario Kart's been trending.
