Margot Robbie Could Play Harley Quinn in an All-Female Birds of Prey Movie

Margot Robbie's performance as Harley Quinn was one of the saving graces of Suicide Squad, and a lot of people are curious on where we're going to see Harley pop up next. Apparently, DC is planning three possible projects for Robbie to reprise her role, and one of them is an all-female team-up Birds of Prey movie.

According to The Wrap, the three DCEU movies that could have Robbie return are Suicide Squad 2, Harley Quinn vs The Joker, and this Birds of Prey movie. It's also been noted that Robbie herself is personally invested in doing Birds of Prey, and it's likely that she could appear in this film either next year or 2020.

In the comics, the Birds of Prey are a group of female crime-fighters comprised of Black Canary, The Oracle, Huntress, and Lady Blackhawk. If Harley Quinn was involved, I think it would be as a villain, and I imagine her making up her own group of anti-heroes to go against the BOP.

With news going quiet on David Ayer's Gotham City Sirens film, I have a feeling that Birds of Prey is Warner Bros replacement for that movie. It would still be an all-female team up, and the Birds are originally stationed in Gotham City. I guess we'll just have to wait for someone to officially confirm if Birds of Prey is now the new title of Gotham City Sirens.

I'm all for an all-female superhero group. With Wonder Woman breaking box office records, I can imagine that DC will want to keep going down the line of using more female heroes. If Birds of Prey happens first, it will definitely be another move ahead of Marvel. They're still trying to make their Captain Marvel film to compensate for Wonder Woman; I don't think there are any plans for an all-female team-up.

No official release date has been announced for Birds of Prey, but I imagine we'll see Margot Robbie reprise Harley in at least one DC movie next year.
