Margot Robbie Admits She Didn't Like Harley Quinn's Skimpy Outfit In Suicide Squad

People certainly loved the sexy side of Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad. However, Margot Robbie has just revealed that she wasn't a fan of her character's skimpy outfits in the DC Extended Universe flick. Interestingly, she has a pretty valid reason not to enjoy showing off too much skin.

Robbie and Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan recently had a joint interview with W Magazine where the two actors compared their iconic characters Harley Quinn and Erik Killmonger. When Robbie was asked whether it was hard to act with hardly a stitch on, she admitted she preferred to keep Harley completely covered up.

"Honestly, for me, as Harley at least, the more skin showing the longer it takes in hair and makeup 'cause she's got, you know, white skin and a million tattoos. So if anything outside, god, the scenes where I don't even have the jacket on, that's an extra 20 minutes in the makeup trailer," Robbie revealed. When Jordan concurred considering that Killmonger also had several prosthetics that needed to be applied, Robbie added, "Yeah, you want to be more covered up."

Robbie's comment certainly has some people wondering if Harley will be getting a more covered-up look in her new movie Birds of Prey. Could we finally see the classic Batman: The Animated Series jester costume in a live-action film? Let's hope it happens soon enough.

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is expected to begin production early this year. It is scheduled for release on February 7, 2020.
