Margot Robbie is certainly one of Hollywood's most bankable actors and she has proven her versatility over the last couple of years. These days, the Harley Quinn actress is taking a short break from the DC Extended Universe to portray another high-profile role that quite frankly fits her to the tea. Of course, we're talking about Greta Gerwig's live-action interpretation of Barbie.

Considering almost every girl grew up playing with their Barbie dolls, one would think that playing her live-action counterpart on the big screen would be a dream role. Well, it turns out that there's actually some downside to it and Robbie recently revealed one thing about the film that felt mortifying to her as an actress.

Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote the film, as well as David O. Russell's Amsterdam, the Australian actress shared that when set photos of her and co-star Ryan Gosling first surfaced last June, it was quite a humiliating experience for both of them.

She explains: "I can't tell you how mortified we were, by the way. We look like we're laughing and having fun, but we're dying on the inside. Dying. I was like, this is the most humiliating moment of my life."

We're not entirely sure what made Robbie and Gosling feel embarrassed about being photographed while wearing their respective outfits but I guess they just weren't ready for the amount of attention the film got.

Meanwhile, good news for Margot's fans over at the DCEU as James Gunn himself confirmed that he'll once again be working with the actress on an upcoming project. Here's to hoping it's actually a solo Harley Quinn project.

Greta Gerwig's live-action Barbie film is slated to hit cinemas on
July 21, 2023.
