MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul will release a follow-up album three months after the success of 6equence.
The past years have been fruitful for Moonbyul as she has been a successful solo artist following his May 2018 debut. At that time, she already captured everyone’s hearts with her debut single, Selfish, which she recorded alongside Red Velvet’s Seulgi.
She then dropped her first EP, Dark Side of the Moon, before making a comeback two years later with 6equence.
Only three months after releasing her latest EP, the K-pop idol is reportedly preparing for a new project just in time for summer!

MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul To Make The World Hotter With New Solo Album
OSEN reported on Tuesday that Moonbyul is preparing for a comeback after the success of 6equence. The K-pop star aims to share her new solo album in April.
RBW Entertainment, Moonbyul’s agency, confirmed the report and said it had not created the final plans yet, including the target release date.
“Moonbyul is preparing a new album, with the goal of releasing it in April. We’ll let you know the specific schedule as soon as it’s decided,” it said, as quoted by Top Star News.

Her decision to release new music was seemingly due to the success of her recent solo mini-album, which quickly topped the iTunes Top Album Chart in 20 countries across the world. This included Brazil, Vietnam, South Africa, Indonesia, Denmark, and the Philippines.
The confirmation came days after the K-pop star graced the pages of 1st Look magazine. She flaunted her clear skin and jaw-dropping visuals during her first beauty shoot since debuting as an idol.
MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul is Lucky This Year
Her continuous project seemingly resonated with what she told 1st Look Magazine during their interview, saying she got her fortune earlier this year.
Per Moonbyul, she learned that her lucky colors were red and beige, and that was the reason why she filled everything up with the two colors. She remarkably dyed her hair red, as well, for her 6equence promotions.
“I carry around a brown-tone wallet. I even matched my shoes and phone case with the color beige,” she went on.
With that, fans can expect that her next album will also feature these colors!
