It has been a long time since we got any updates on the planned Blade reboot starring Mahershala Ali. However, we finally have some good news about the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe flick. It looks like Blade will finally hit theaters in 2022.
The confirmation comes from the Disney Investor Day programming guide which lists down every confirmed project during the event. The listing described that it would be in chronological order. With that in mind, Blade has been listed between Black Panther 2 and Captain Marvel 2.
Since the Black Panther sequel is scheduled for July 8, 2022 and Captain Marvel 2 will get its theatrical release on November 11, 2022, there is a good chance that Blade will hit theaters sometime between August and September.
This is welcome news for fans who have been hoping to see the Blade reboot soon. However, it is also important to point out that the film is still in early development. Nevertheless, we're hoping to get a new update by early next year.
In addition to the Blade reboot, the listing also confirmed that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 is currently scheduled to premiere sometime in 2023. The sequel could then be followed by the highly anticipated Fantastic Four reboot which will be helmed by Spider-Man 3 director Jon Watts.
