Jason Momoa and Mark Ruffalo Sign up for Taika Waititi's Star Wars Film

There is little doubt that everyone is psyched up for Taika Waititi's upcoming Star Wars film. Not surprisingly, celebrities are excited about the project as well. Aquaman star Jason Momoa and Thor: Ragnarok actor Mark Ruffalo have just admitted that they want to join the highly anticipated new movie.

Although Waititi's involvement in the new Star Wars film was confirmed during Disney Investor Day, the filmmaker couldn't help but poke fun at the announcement. The Jojo Rabbit director took a screenshot of Disney's tweet announcing the project then shared it on his official Instagram account with the caption, "What?? Ugh, as a longtime fan of Star Wars I'm so angry about what I'm about to do to ruin it."

The post immediately caught the attention of fans and celebrities alike. Momoa was quick to comment, "Fuck yes, count me in." Additionally, Ruffalo wrote, "I'm available!"

We're not exactly surprised that Momoa and Ruffalo are eager to work with Waititi. After all, the filmmaker has already proven he is perfectly capable of directing a Star Wars project. Waititi helmed the Season 1 finale of The Mandalorian, which is one of the best episodes of the series so far. With that in mind, there is little doubt that his new Star Wars movie is going to be everything fans are hoping for.

For now, there are no other names attached to Waititi's Star Wars film. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
