Magic: The Gathering Commentator Brian-David Marshall is Retiring From Coverage Team

Earlier this week, Wizards of the Coast revealed the coverage details for the Magic: The Gathering Mythic Championship this weekend, including the members of the coverage team but for one of them, it will be their last Magic event, and that person is Brian-David Marshall.

Over on Twitter, Brian-David Marshall has announced that after taking an "exciting new job" he is retiring from the Magic coverage team and the first Mythic Championship this year will be his last Magic event.

"Taking on an exciting new job which means that I am making #2019MC1 my last event as an active member of the coverage family," he wrote. "Thank you to everyone who helped me along the way and I will absolutely miss the hell out of it."

Brian-David Marshall is known for his commentary in the Pro Tour circuit. He was also the co-founder of Neutral Ground, formerly the largest gaming location in New York City. He also played previously on the Pro Tour as a member of Team Monkey Dog. BDM will surely be missed, especially for moments like this:

The Mythic Championship will take place in the Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland, Ohio, USA this weekend.
