Thanks to the show’s popularity, we’ve seen lots of Lycoris Recoil merch and collaborations over the last few months. The latest collab is with the sake brewery Otokoyama for a special Lycoris Recoil sake package featuring Mizuki Nakahara.
Aside from being billed as a high-quality sake, the highlight of this collab is that it is modeled after the sake that Mizuki drinks in the anime.
Given this connection, the special edition package comes with a special box that highlights the loveable Mizuki.
Lycoris Recoil’s Mizuki Nakahara
Ahead of the Summer 2022 anime season, no one expected Lycoris Recoil to be the stand-out show. After all, most big anime shows of each season are based on manga or light novels. Meanwhile, Lycoris Recoil is an original IP.
Despite not having much hype early into the season, the show quickly gained popularity, thanks in large part to its two main characters, Chisato and Takina.
It also helped that it was praised by lots of fans, including the popular video game director Hideo Kojima of Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding fame.
While Chisato and Takina’s dynamic is at the center of the show’s appeal, they are joined by various memorable characters, including the likes of Mika and Mizuki.
Mika is an important character not only in the story but also to balance out the cheeriness of characters like Chisato.
But for those who prefer a louder supporting character, Mizuki is probably their favorite.
After all, Mizuki’s penchant for drinking and near-constant frustration of not having a boyfriend yet is a welcome reprieve from the show’s heavier moments.

Lycoris Recoil Sake Collab
While Mizuki has a wide range of drinks in the show, many likely associate her with a green sake bottle.
Now, Lycoris Recoil teamed up with the brand Otokoyama for a special collab that recreates the sake found in the anime.
This new LycoReco sake label is a recreation of the one found in the anime. And to do that, the brewery sourced the ingredients straight from Hokkaido.
Aside from the sake bottle, each package comes with a special box with an illustration of Mizuki. It also comes with collectible notes.
To celebrate the collab, character designer Imigimuru shared a special artwork of Mizuki with the sake.
This Lycoris Recoil limited edition sake is currently available for pre-order via the Hiromedo online store until supplies last.
Each package is priced at JPY 3,740 (around USD 28.50). The sake will be shipped in early April.
