What is Lycoris Recoil About?
The anime's official website says Lycoris Recoil follows the mismatched duo, cheery Chisato and cool Takina, as they work together at Cafe LycoReco.
At this Japanese-Western hybrid cafe in downtown Tokyo, the girls take a wide variety of orders, ranging from traditional Japanese goodies and coffee to childcare and life coaching.
Quite a long stretch there, for sure, but the girls, along with the cafe's other staff members, are able to make it all work somehow!
It's thanks to the Cafe LycoReco staff and the bigger organization behind them that people get to have days filled with nothing but peace!
With its bright animation style and compelling concept, fans are both excited and worried about whether the sci-fi-action-comedy anime would live up to the hype. Fortunately, we have good reason to believe it might just turn out great!
Lycoris Recoil is an original anime production by A-1 Pictures (Your Lie in April, the SAO series, Fairy Tail) that's set to make waves in this year's summer anime season. Its production is filled with well-known greats and geniuses in the anime industry.
The highly acclaimed anime Ben-to's original author, Asaura, jumped on board as the original anime's story writer. Imigimuru, author of the top-rated This Art Club Has a Problem, came up with the original character designs.
Shingo Adachi, character designer for SAO and chief animation director for Working!!, completes the "OP" production staff as director, to borrow from anime lingo.

Lycoris Recoil Episode 1 Release Date
Lycoris Recoil Episode 1 is all set for release on July 2, 2022, at 11:30 PM JST. It will be available for streaming on the same date in the US, Canada, and Europe about an hour after its release in Japan.
