Luke Cage Showrunner: Heroes for Hire is Still on the Table

It was revealed last week that Danny Rand/Iron Fist will be making an appearance in the second season of Luke Cage, and this has people wondering if we would ever get a smaller team-up series in the form of Heroes for Hire. As it turns out, there have been talks to adapt the show, and LC showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker reveals that it's still a possibility.

Talking with Empire's Pilot TV (via CBR), Coker reveals:

"Internally at Marvel Television, everybody knows there's a part of that combination that is inevitable, particularly when you watch them together in the way that we did it. If feels right. It feels good. It feels like, ‘I want to see more of this combination. Heroes for Hire is really not off the table.'"

Seeing that Luke Cage and Iron Fist are the weaker of the Marvel Netflix series, it would make sense that they would dissolve the shows and just have Heroes for Hire. Then again, there are still some fans who enjoy seeing solo adventures for each Defender.

Though we may not have solid news for a Heroes for Hire team-up, at least we have an idea of where it stands with Marvel TV. Hopefully we get some fun back and forth between Rand and Cage with Luke Cage 2.

Luke Cage 2 hits Netflix June 22.
