Iron Fist Teams Up with Luke in Still from Luke Cage 2

Luke Cage and Iron Fist have a legendary friendship in comics, but we didn't really have that team-up when they met each other in The Defenders. As it turns out, Danny Rand will actually appear in Luke Cage 2, and a still has the two heroes teaming up.

Seeing that Danny has his own show to star in, it's possible that we could only have him appear for one episode. Who knows, if the tandem works well enough, we might get a Hero for Hire series instead of individual shows for Iron Fist and Luke Cage.

After the fiasco that was The Defenders, it looks like Marvel Netflix is having a hard time trying to keep hype up for their upcoming shows. Sure Punisher wasn't terrible, but people weren't exactly over the moon for it the way they were with the first Daredevil. Even the latest Jessica Jones didn't generate enough buzz when it came out.

Here's the official synopsis for Luke Cage 2:

After clearing his name, Luke Cage has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so visible has only increased his need to protect the community and find the limits of who he can and can't save. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.

Luke Cage comes back to Netflix June 22.
