Lucasfilm Reportedly Developing Ahsoka Tano Series With Star Wars Rebels Characters

Star Wars fans were met with exciting news in March when word came out that Lucasfilm was hoping to cast Marvel Netflix star Rosario Dawson as the live-action version of Ahsoka in Star Wars: The Mandalorian.

While we've yet to see Lucasfilm confirm all these rumors about Dawson's involvement in Jon Favreau's hit Star Wars series, there are new reports saying that the studio is actually developing an Ahsoka Tano series for Disney+.

According to CBR, Daniel RPK claims that Lucasfilm currently has a project in development focused on former Jedi, Ahsoka Tano. The Disney insider made his report on his Patreon account, seemingly corroborating news from Fandom Wire.

The entertainment made their exclusive report last Saturday, saying that the series is going to be set after the events of Star Wars Rebels which ended with Ahsoka and Sabine Wren heading off to the Uknown Regions in search of Ezra Bridger.

The new series is also rumored to feature Rebels characters like Hera, Zeb, and the handy droid, Chopper. Thrawn is also rumored to appear in the project. The series is reportedly going to be overseen by Star Wars Rebels showrunner Dave Filoni.

This is interesting news. There's been a lot of hype over Ahsoka Tano the past few weeks – the character's return in Star Wars: The Clone Wars has reminded fans how much they love the former Jedi Padawan.

We hope that Lucasfilm confirms these rumors soon. We'd certainly appreciate a little Star Wars pick-me-up during this COVID-19 pandemic.
