Star Wars fans might have felt a bit queasy after learning where Luke (Mark Hamill) gets his green milk, but it seems like those who're curious about getting their own green milkshake finally have a recipe.
Lucasfilm just published a recipe for green milk on the official Star Wars website today thanks to the work Star Wars fan and food blogger Jenn Fujikawa.
The recipe's simple enough – all one has to do is to make green ice cream and then blend it along with milk to produce a shake.
To make the green ice cream, one has to gather 2 cups of heavy cream, 1 cup of whole milk, ½ cup sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, ½ teaspoon almond extract and green food gel dye.
Here are the steps in making the green ice cream:
Step 1: In a bowl, stir together the heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, and almond extract. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Step 2: Stir in 1-2 drops of green food gel dye to get a light green color.
Step 3: Pour into loaf pan and freeze for 20-30 minutes. When the edges start to freeze, break up the ice cream by mixing it up.
Step 4: Return the pan to the freezer and repeat in 30 minutes, smoothing out the surface of the ice cream. Keep in the freezer until ready to use.
Not everyone has a Thala-Siren to squeeze green milk out of like Luke does on Ahch-To, so fans are going to have to make do with green ice cream instead. It might not be the real deal, but it looks tasty enough.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is currently screening in cinemas.
