Lovers of the Red Sky is set to be released on August 30, 2021. The upcoming series will be broadcasted on SBS every Monday and Tuesday at 10:00 PM KST. Consecutively, the Kdrama will also be available for international fans through the online streaming platform Viu.

Lovers Of The Red Sky Cast
This historical fantasy romance drama based on a novel will star Kim Yoo Jung, Ahn Hyo Seop, and Gong Myung. These young actors are expected to showcase their impressive acting skills as they portray their own Lovers of the Red Sky characters with pride.
Kim Yoo Jung will play the character of Hong Cheon Gi, the Joseon dynasty's first and only female painter. She was born blind but eventually regained her vision, miraculously. Hong Cheon Gi is a seraphic artist who has both angelic beauty and applausive skills.
Ahn Hyo Seop will star as Ha Ram. He is a mid-rank officer and astrologer for the Seomungwan who has the ability to still read the stars despite being visually impaired.
Lovers of the Red Sky will also feature Gong Myung as Prince Yangmyung. He is a free-spirited royal who has an interest in poetry, letters, and arts. Although filled with romance, he has a deep emotion of loneliness hidden inside.
Lovers of the Red Sky will also include Kwak Si-yang as Prince Juhyang. The four main characters will be accompanied by talented actors such as Go Kyu Pil, Jo Sung Ha, Moon Sook, Hwang Sang Jin, Kim Kwang Gyu, Chae Gook Hee, Song Won Seok, Jang Hyun Sung, and more.

Lovers Of The Red Sky Plot And Storyline
Lovers of the Red Sky is set during the Joseon era where a genius female painter named Hong Cheon Gi exists. She is then chosen to be the first female painter of the Dohwaseo or the Korean Royal Academy of Painting. Hong Cheon Gi has a beautiful appearance and a bright and friendly personality.
Her stay at the academy led her to cross paths with a blind astrologer named Ha Ram. They fall in love with each other, not minding whether the other is blind.
Lovers of the Red Sky will feature a romantic atmosphere between two young lovers who patiently accompany each other to the happiness that they deserve.

Lovers Of The Red Sky Trailer
On August 4, SBS revealed a trailer for Lovers of the Red Sky. It featured Hong Cheon Gi and Ha Ram's different lives. As Hong Cheon Gi opens her eyes to find out she can now see the colors of the world, the beautiful maiden controls her mind to question everything she wants to know.
Ha Ram takes off his mask which revealed his red-colored eyes. His eyes showed sadness as he says, "I am already a dead man even if I start growing feelings for you."
The trailer continues to show the two main characters crossing paths with each other. Ha Ram protects Hong Cheon Gi which led to a serious encounter.
Through the end, the trailer featured a heart-wrecking scene when the blind Hong Cheon Gi takes her time to observe Ha Ram's face. Then, the blind Ha Ram now does the same thing to an emotional Hong Cheon Gi who now can see.
