The forthcoming Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha series is set to premiere on August 28, 2021. It will be shown on tvN every Saturday and Sunday at 9 p.m. KST. The South Korean television show will also be available internationally for streaming on Netflix.

The remake of the 2004 South Korean movie Mr. Handy, Mr. Hong will star Kim Seon Ho, Shin Min Ah, and Lee Sang Yi. Aside from their exemplary acting prowess, K-drama fans can expect to see Seon Ho and Min A's perfect chemistry in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha

For starters, Kim Seon Ho will portray Hong Du Sik, who is fondly called Mr. Hong around the seaside village of Cha-Cha-Cha. Shin Min Ah will play the character of Yoon Hye Jin, who is a perfectionist and ambitious dentist, in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha. While she was already living her dream life, she will end up moving to Gongjin after her life becomes chaotic.

Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha will also feature Lee Sang Yi, who will portray the role of Ji Seong Hyun. Sang Yi's character in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is a star variety show production director who loves to work and has a very bubbly personality.

Other personalities to appear in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha include Lee Seok Hyung as Kang Do Ha, Kang Hyung Seok as Choi Eun Chul, Lee Bong Ryun as Yeo Hwa Jung, Jo Han Chul as Oh Cheon Jae, Baek Sung as In Woo, and In Gyo Jin as Jang Young Guk. Kim Young Ok, Cha Chung Hwa, Gong Min Jeung, Lee Yong Yi, and Shin Shin Ae are also part of the cast.

As for its plot, the forthcoming Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha series centers on the city girl Yoo Hye Jin and seaside villager Hong Doo Shik. Despite their opposite backgrounds and personalities, the two would spark romance during their first encounter.

However, the romance of Kim Seon Ho and Shi Min Ah's characters will be full of twists and turns due to their ever-changing feelings for each other. Netflix dropped the official Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha trailer on July 28. The clip gave a glimpse of the romance between charming jack-of-all-trades Hong Du Sik and dentist Yoo Hye Jin as it unfolds in the picturesque seaside town of Gongjin.

The teaser of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha showed Shin Min Ah jogging against a big city backdrop while Kim Seon Ho is surfing on the waves. The video also introduced the lead characters' opposing personalities.
