The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power star Morfydd Clark sheds light on how Galadriel changes this Season 2. Given that her character mourned deeply for when her brother died in Rings of Power Season 1, the once revenge-driven Galadriel surprisingly softens this coming second season.
“I need to take a deep breath before I do this because I get panicked. [Laughs] So, last season, I think that [Galadriel’s] grief was so intense, her sadness was huge. I think when you are in those points of ultimate lows, you do end up becoming self-obsessed. You can’t see anything beyond this haze of misery.” Clark explained in a recent interview with Vanity Fair.
“And now, that has started to clear.” Clark continued, “Hopefully, with that she’s rediscovering the beauty of life and what she was really trying to protect the whole time beyond herself. That’s something I just love about [J.R.R. Tolkien]: You need to be connected to the world and those around you.”

There are a lot of aspects to hugely expect from this coming The Rings of Power Season 2, but Galadriel’s character development is definitely one to look forward to.
Considering that we have yet to see how Galadriel and Halbrand (who is actually Sauron in disguise) face off with each other after the utter betrayal from her once dear friend attempting to convince Galadriel to rule Middle-earth with him.
While The Rings of Power Season 1 surely received mixed receptions from fans and its viewers, a greenlit The Rings of Power Season 2 should be able to keep our interest in expecting what comes next. Are you excited to see Galadriel return?
