Lord Of The Rings: Orlando Bloom Addresses Legolas' Possible Return In Amazon Series

The highly anticipated Lord of the Rings series is certainly happening but what are the chances that we'll be seeing some familiar faces in the upcoming Amazon Prime show? Orlando Bloom has just addressed the possibility of Legolas Greenleaf making an appearance in the series based on J.R.R. Tolkien's classic works.

Bloom is currently promoting his own Amazon show Carnival Row at the Television Critics Association press tour so it's no surprise that the Hobbit star would be asked about possibly being a part of the Lord of the Rings series. Unfortunately, Bloom doesn't think it would work.

"I don't know where I would fit in that world," Bloom said. "If you're saying as Legolas, they've probably got a 19-year-old kid who's ready to go."

OK, so although Bloom might not be ready to put on some elf ears, a blond wig, and blue contacts all over again, that doesn't mean we should rule out Legolas from the new show just yet. On the other hand, it's probably best to just leave the Fellowship characters out of the series and focus on a completely new story. In addition to that, Bloom has already moved on to a different fantasy project.

It was previously reported that Bloom's Carnival Row has been confirmed for a second season even before the first season has premiered. This could mean that the Pirates of the Caribbean star will be busy for some time.

The Lord of the Rings series has not yet been given an official release date. In the meantime, the first season of Carnival Row will premiere on Amazon Prime on August 30.
