Loki Writer Confirms Chris Hemsworth Cameo in MCU Series

There is little doubt that fans have been hoping to see more Marvel Cinematic Universe stars in Loki. However, we're now down to the final episode and we've only seen one other Asgardian so far. Luckily, Kate Herron has confirmed that Chris Hemsworth also had a small yet awesome cameo in the Disney+ show.

It's no secret that fans have gotten used to seeing Loki and Thor together and seeing the God of Mischief on his own is an unusual treat. Not surprisingly, even Tom Hiddleston admits that it felt different not having the God of Thunder around. However, that doesn't mean that Hemsworth did not participate in the making of Loki.

Herron was recently a guest on the For All Nerdspodcast where she revealed Hemsworth's surprise cameo on Loki.

"Throg, obviously, getting him in [was great]. And we recorded Chris Hemsworth for that, by the way," Herron said. "We recorded him for that, that's new recording. That's a whole new recording, not recycled, he recorded that!"

In Loki Episode 5, fans got a brief glimpse at Frog Thor who appeared to have been placed in a jar before being dumped into the Void. We could barely hear any lines from Throg but the small grunts were made by Hemsworth himself.

If you were wondering if Hemsworth recorded more lines as Throg, it's possible that the dialogue may have been for a longer scene that was deleted from the premiere episode. Hopefully, we'll get to see that epic sequence of Frog Thor fighting Loki in a special episode of the MCU series.

The penultimate episode of Loki is titled Journey to Mystery and is now streaming on Disney+. The series finale is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, July 14, 2021.
