The MCU films and TV shows have always been notorious for featuring easter eggs in other projects or the comics and Loki is certainly no exception to that since the very beginning. In fact, almost every single episode so far has been rich with easter eggs and references.

Whether it's a namedrop of characters, mention of events in other MCU projects, or a reference somewhere in the background, fans always get the kick out of these easter eggs and it's a great treat for those who have been following the shared universe.

Now, the recently aired second episode of the series has made another reference to another MCU property and, this time around, it's from a divisive Phase Four film.

The second episode of Loki season 2 opened with Loki and Mobius arriving at a movie theater in 1977 London in the sacred timeline as part of their attempt to find Sylvie.

As they're walking outside, a Bollywood movie poster featuring Eternals fan-favorite character Kingo can be spotted on the wall in a blink-and-you-miss-it moment

This isn't the first time that Kingo was referenced in other MCU projects outside Eternals. A poster of his movie also showed up in The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. He was also namedropped in Ms. Marvel when Kamala Khan mentioned that he is her mother's movie star crush.

In case you forgot, Kingo is an established movie star in Bollywood although he adopted the moniker of different descendants under the same family so that the public wouldn't be suspicious of his immortality.

It made sense that there is a Kingo easter egg in a movie theater setting since he has been an established actor in the MCU for decades. This is simply an example of connectivity and a reminder that they're all part of the shared universe.

While Eternals itself had a divisive reception, Kingo became one of the fan-favorite characters from the film and fans certainly didn't mind that he's been referenced more frequently throughout Phase Four and Five.

As we're waiting to see what's next for the surviving members of the Eternals in the next chapters of the MCU, it's nice that we have these easter eggs that acknowledge their existence and, in Kingo's case, his popularity as a movie star in the fictional world.
