Lockjaw, The Best Inhuman Character, Gets New Comic Series

Fans may have mixed opinions on the recent mainstream rise of the Inhumans, but there is one thing everyone can agree on; Lockjaw is the best. The teleporting dog has been around since the Lee and Kirby era, always being adorable and useful to the characters around him. After acting as a supporting character in titles like Ms. Marvel, Lockjaw will finally get the solo spotlight in a new comic book series.

Lockjaw will be a four-issue miniseries written by Daniel Kibblesmith from The Late Show and drawn by artist Carlos Villa. The story has the Inhuman canine find out that he actually has siblings, so he goes on a universe-spanning adventure to find them. It's a really cute premise and one that fans of the character can enjoy.

Interestingly enough, it was revealed that C-list character D-Man will be joining Lockjaw during his adventure. This is a curious choice since he's usually accompanied by Ms. Marvel, Black Bolt, or any other member of the Inhuman Royal Family. Then again, recent Marvel Legacy solicitations have revealed that Ms. Marvel is missing and that the Inhumans are fending off their creators in space, so the pairing with D-Man should make some sense.

Lockjaw #1 will hit comic book stores in February.
