Lizzy of After School shared a cryptic post that left her fans extremely worried about her current state.

The pressure in the K-pop industry has been an issue for years as it, unfortunately, led to the deaths of several K-pop stars and musicians already. While the K-pop industry is currently booming, many K-pop idols suffer privately once they step down the stage.

Although agencies and fans make sure that the idols know they are not alone, most of them still face demons – and Lizzy is seemingly the latest victim of those dark thoughts.

Lizzy of After School Seemingly Hints She is Suffering

Lizzy uploaded a disturbing post on Instagram on Thursday, leaving her fans worried about her current mental health status.

The post in question features a photo of Arial, the main character in the hit Disney animation The Little Mermaid. While the photo shows a smiling female, Lizzy contrasted it with the text “Goodbye, my life.”

However, fans checked the post again and learned that she changed her caption into a positive one. Internet users cannot be blamed at all for overthinking since the industry has already lost many Korean stars who committed suicide.

The issue came to the spotlight again after SHINee’s main vocalist, Kim Jonghyun, died in December 2017. The K-pop star was initially found unconscious inside his hotel room, but he was eventually pronounced dead on arrival at a medical facility.

Nearly two years later, Sulli – a former member of f(x), also died. Former member of KARA, Goo Hara, followed in November 2019.

Lizzy Once Said Her Life is Over

It was not the first time Lizzy made her fans worried.

In September, she held a Live session where she talked about the DUI incident that she got involved in. For what it’s worth, she was booked in Seoul’s Gangnam district when she drove while under influence and ended up hitting a taxi.

“I am so very sorry. Now, my life is over. It’s true that I’ve let everyone down. The driver [from the accident] wasn’t hurt that much, but the articles [were written that way],” she said.

Before the recent incident, Lizzy appeared in the television series Oh My Baby in 2020.
