Hyun Bin already proved he could follow his roles’ characteristics after being part of the industry for decades.
Although Hyun Bin started acting in 2003, he waited for years before landing his first hit series, My Name is Kim Sam Soon in 2005. It helped him land on more projects, like Secret Garden, Confidential Assignment, The Negotiation, and Crash Landing on You.
Since then, he has been scoring different characters and showing diverse personalities on TV.
Although he adapted his characters’ personalities while working, Hyun Bin revealed one secret about his personality no one knew before.

Hyun Bin Calls Himself a “Challenge”
Hyun Bin recently joined Dazed magazine for its spring edition release. The actor appeared in its photoshoot before sitting down for a one-on-one interview.
During the first part of the conversation, the Korean actor spoke candidly about being a person who has no bias. Per Hyun Bin, not being biased means seeing himself as a challenge.
“It’s true that I’m not biased, but I think I’m closer to the word ‘challenge.’ For Dazed, as well as for me and also Loro Piana, which joined the filming, we do not stick to what is given but keep making new things, so we are on the type to take on challenges,” he said.

Although he knows how he can be of a challenge sometimes, the actor still maintains his introverted personality.
He once compared himself to his Late Autumn character, Hoon, and Secret Garden’s Joo Won. He told KBS World that his real personality is more similar to Hoon’s. He explained that, unlike Joo Won, he could not say his thoughts out loud.
Instead, he keeps his thoughts inside before expressing them in different ways.
Hyun Bin Literally Challenges Himself with Upcoming Life Updates
Hyun Bin’s appearance on Dazed Korea came after Italian fabrics and clothing company Loro Piana picked him to become its brand ambassador and model for their pictorial.
Although he is busy as an actor and model, he still has a lot of room to take on new roles. In fact, Hyun Bin tests himself ahead of the filming of his upcoming spy action film. He is also busy preparing for his forthcoming wedding with Son Ye Jin this month.
