BIGBANG TOP came back bolder, stronger, and more attractive than ever.

While BIGBANG is yet to mark their official comeback, member TOP has been busy expanding his career outside South Korea. For instance, his name appeared in Singapore’s ArtScience Museum after guest-curating an auction in the area. He also did the same in Hong Kong’s Asian and Western art for Sotheby – an event that raised millions.

For five years, TOP lied low and stepped away from the spotlight. But in the past months, he has been active once again to challenge himself as an artist.

BIGBANG TOP Speaks About Future in New Interview With Prestige Magazine

BIGBANG TOP became the subject of Prestige Magazine’s March issue. The K-pop idol sported his platinum blonde hair and sequin jacket, making him stand out even more.

In a conversation with the magazine through Zoom, he expressed his excitement as he looks forward to the future.

“This is a time to leap to the next stage of my career and life,” he said.

For what it’s worth, he hinted at his possible first solo album after leaving YG Entertainment. Although he is no longer part of the agency, he remains a big part of the K-pop group and will always be part of BIGBANG’s promotion from his departure and thereafter.

But things had not always been positive for him as he revealed he was suicidal following his marijuana case.

BIGBANG TOP Reveals Suicidal Thoughts

In 2017, TOP was charged with marijuana use. The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency found him guilty and gave him a 10-month jail sentence with a two-year probation.

For the first time, he broke his silence about that life event and told the magazine how it became the worst moment of his life.

“This is the first time I’ve spoken this publicly, but I did try to commit suicide about five years ago,” the rapper explained. “I realized later how much hurt and painful memories I gave to the people around me, my family and fans out there.”

TOP also revealed that he once considered quitting his job as a K-pop idol and stopping his career in the music industry. But then he realized that music had been his motivation through thick and thin.

Fortunately, he never gave up on himself and his life, and he will soon share parts of him again with fans.
