Liz Allan Could Come Back for Spider-Man: Far from Home

The Spider-Man: Far from Home trailer teased to us a possible romance between Peter Parker and MJ, but it's possible that we could see the return of Peter's love interest from the first movie, Liz Allan.

According to Deadline, the rundown of Far from Home's cast had included Laura Harrier in the list. We don't know exactly how Liz will factor into the film, but it's said that Michael Keaton will be making a return as Adrian Toomes. Maybe Liz could visit her dad in prison?

With Gwen Stacy nowhere in sight in the Far from Home teaser, I guess Liz is basically Peter's first love in this lore. There were rumors that the film was casting for Gwen earlier, so we shouldn't say that she's out for sure. Maybe she's been edited out of the trailers to keep her a surprise. Hopefully, Marvel Studios will have a fun way of bringing her to the big screen.

Personally, I love how the MCU is bringing more personality to the love interests of Peter Parker. Sure Liz was kind of bland, but Zendaya's MJ is so lovably quirky. I hope they actually bring in a Gwen because I would love to see Peter navigate a love triangle at least once in the films.

Peter Parker's relaxing European vacation takes an unexpected turn when Nick Fury suddenly shows up in his hotel room. Parker soon finds himself donning the Spider-Man suit to help Fury stop the evil Mysterio from wreaking havoc across the continent.

Spider-Man: Far from Home hits theaters July 5.
