Linda Hamilton Would 'Love to be Done' with Terminator

Terminator fans celebrated when they saw Linda Hamilton reprise the role of Sarah Connor for Dark Fate, but no amount of nostalgia was able to save the movie from its poor performance at the box office. With Sarah Connor's story once again open for the franchise, Hamilton has gone out to say that she would love to be done with the films.

Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Hamilton was asked if she would be reprising Sarah Connor once more, to which she says, "No. Something says to me… I don't know." Hamilton goes on to articulate:

"I would really appreciate maybe a smaller version where so many millions are not at stake. Today's audience is just so unpredictable. I can't tell you how many laymen just go, ‘Well, people don't go to the movies anymore.' That's not Hollywood analysis; that just comes out of almost everybody's mouth. It should definitely not be such a high-risk financial venture, but I would be quite happy to never return. So, no, I am not hopeful because I would really love to be done. But, if there were something new that really spoke to me, I am a logical person, and I will always consider viable changes."

Personally, I thought Dark Fate was alright. I guess some people weren't really fans of the story decisions like killing off young John Connor or "Carl" finding consciousness after succeeding in his mission. I guess fans wanted a story that didn't downplay the point of Terminator 2, but then again, the box office reactions have been hard to predict these days.

If you ask me, probably the weakest part of the film was Kyle Reese equivalent, Mackenzie Davis. She just wasn't charismatic enough in my opinion, but she does give the role her all. Either way, I thought everyone else did fine, especially the new Terminator Gabriel Luna.

We don't know if we'll get a sequel to Terminator anytime soon, but Terminator: Dark Fate is now available for digital and Blu-Ray/DVD.
