Terminator: Dark Fate Director Reveals Why He Will Never Work With James Cameron Again

Are you hoping for a follow-up to Terminator: Dark Fate? It's possible but don't expect director Tim Miller to return for another film. The Deadpool director has just confirmed that he has no plans of working with James Cameron ever again.

Miller was a recent guest on KCRW's The Business podcast where he revealed that he and Cameron had several disagreements about Dark Fate, from minor lines in the film to how it was supposed to end. The Love, Death & Robots creator was then asked if he would be interested in directing another Terminator film but Miller firmly refused to work with Cameron again.

"I can say no, but it has nothing to do with whatever trauma I have from the experience," Miller said. "It's more that I just don't want to be in a situation again where I don't have the control to do what I think is right."

Although there's no chance that Miller will helm another movie in the upcoming Terminator trilogy, he revealed that he is still friends with Cameron.

"I just got an email last week from Jim, who said, ‘I know we clashed a little bit. I put it all down to two strong, creative people with differences of opinion and I think it made the movie better. I'll be back in L.A. in December. Let's go get a beer,'" he admitted.

It's good to know that Miller and Cameron are still getting along just fine. Unfortunately, it looks like this friendship will not result in another Terminator movie helmed by Miller.

Terminator: Dark Fate is still screening in theaters worldwide.
