Linda Hamilton Says She Wanted Different Look for Sarah Connor in Terminator: Dark Fate

One of the awesome things about Terminator: Dark Fate was seeing Sarah Connor in action all over again. After all, the character's intense transformation in Terminator 2: Judgement Day was one of the highlights of the sequel. However, it sounds like Linda Hamilton had other plans for John Connor's mother.

Hamilton recently spoke to Cinemablend about Dark Fate where she admitted that she had some interesting ideas about how Sarah should be portrayed in the film. For one, Hamilton claims that Sarah should have let herself go after all these times.

"The shock value, I think, sort of plants everybody in, immediately. I actually kept arguing that maybe she should just be fat. That would have shock value too," Hamilton said.

We're not sure if she's serious about this but it would make sense for Sarah to simply give up on fighting Skynet. In the opening sequence set in 1998, Sarah and John are enjoying their time on the beach when a T-800 Terminator arrives and kills John. It's a shocking moment that would have sent any mother into depression.

Although it would have been interesting to see a fat Sarah, we're glad that nobody took Hamilton's idea too seriously. We truly enjoyed seeing the actress in action all over again.

Terminator: Dark Fate also starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, and Gabriel Luna. The film is currently available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD.
