From the director of Friday, The Italian Job, and Set It Off comes another heist movie and this time, Director F. Gary Gray is taking everyone to new heights as he will be bringing us all into the air with the upcoming Netflix movie, Lift.
A comedy-action-thriller film, Lift, brings a heist mid-flight with an all-star team put up on the upcoming Netflix movie, Lift, and it has been announced that it is to be included on this year's releases for the streaming platform!

Lift Release Date: When Will the Movie Come Out?
Netflix released a save the date video for the titles that are arriving on the streaming platform this year and that includes Lift which will be coming out on August 25, 2023 as yet another heist movie directed by F. Gary Gray.
Imagine this, a heist crew is set up to go up to the heights as they would have to prevent an impending terrorist attack while on a plane, in the middle of a flight!
How exciting is that, right? Be sure to mark your calendars for its release!
Lift Cast: Who are the Actors Included in the Movie?
A star-studded cast has been tapped to pull off a heist this extreme with Kevin Hart, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sam Worthington, and Vincent D'Onofrio bannering the team. Given this line-up, you already know it's a comedy-action film, right?
They will be joined by Úrsula Corberó, Billy Magnussen and Jacob Batalon. Also included in the cast of Lift are Jean Reno, Viveik Kalra, Yun Jee Kim, Burn Gorman and Paul Anderson.

Lift Crew: Who are the Creative Minds Behind the Scenes?
Lift is first announced on March 18, 2021 as it has been revealed to have been acquired by Netflix from the spec script of Dan Kunha with Genre Films, Hartbeat Productions, and 6th & Idaho Productions as the production companies to bring the movie to life.
F. Gary Gray is tapped as the director with Dan Kunha and Jeremy Doner as the writers of the script.
The producers of the movie are Kevin Hart, Brian Smiley, Adam Kassan, Simon Kinberg, and Audrey Chon, with the cinematography of Bernhard Jasper, and editing by Mischa Chaleyer-Kynaston.
The full cast of the movie has been unveiled in June 2022, and the movie has been included on Netflix's 2023 roster as the streaming platform will host the release on the movie internationally.
Lift Plot: What Will be the Plot of the Movie?
The official synopsis of Lift is as follows:
"An international heist crew is recruited to prevent a terrorist attack, and must pull off the heist on a plane mid-flight."
Kevin Hart is expected to play the main character of Lift as a master thief who has been tapped by his ex-girlfriend, presumably Gugu Mbatha-Raw, along with the FBI, to pull off a near-impossible heist that would be testing his skills.
How is this heist near-impossible? Well, aside from the difficulties of pulling off a heist on its own, it is set on a 777 plane while in the middle of a flight from London to Zurich.
This would require an international heist team that would have to prepare all its aspects to be able to pull it off.
After all, doing a wrong to stop another wrong, kind of, makes it right, right? The heist is set up to stop a terrorist attack, making a heist team perfect for the job.
Where to Watch Lift?
The movie, Lift, will have an exclusive release on Netflix this August 25, 2023.
Netflix plans offers subscriptions depending on the inclusions, the number of people that could share the account, and the ads that comes with it.
The Basic Plan costs $9.99 per month, the Standard Plan costs $15.99 per month, and the Premium Plan costs $19.99 per month.
Is There a Trailer for Lift?
Unfortunately, it is still too early to have a trailer of its own but the great news is that a preview for Lift has been included in the "Save The Date" video of Netflix for their 2023 roster which is enough to tease the audience of what is to come for the movie.
In the preview, a shot of a speedboat going through a canal starts the teaser of Lift, then it cuts to Kevin Hart talking to someone, then to a shot where he is fighting someone on a plane with a luggage versus a gun.
Then, there's Gugu Mbatha-Raw running to the canal, then it ends with Kevin Hart with a guy wearing a gold mask and a black cloak while on a boat.
While those are the only scenes revealed, Lift is already on the radar, especially for the heist lovers out there. As it comes out on August 25th this year, be sure to mark your calendars for its release!
