It might still be a long wait for the Batgirl movie. However, we don't have to wait long before seeing Leslie Grace in costume. The In The Heights star has just revealed the "first look" at her Batgirl costume just in time for Halloween.
In July, it was confirmed that Leslie Grace will play Barbara Gordon in HBO Max's Batgirl film. Since then, she has been hyping up her new project and fans are loving it. Grace's latest tease is a response to all the requests to see the new Batgirl costume. Interestingly, she shared a video of herself putting on the suit. Check it out below.
Okay, so it's not a real Batgirl suit but it certainly looks more comfortable compared to other suits we've seen in the DC Extended Universe. Needless to say, we're hoping that Grace will eventually get to share the real Batgirl suit in the future. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
As mentioned, the wait for Batgirl could be a long one considering that the project is still in development. Christina Hodson is still working on the screenplay and the film only has a few names attached so far.
It was previously confirmed that Batgirl will bring back J.K. Simmons as Barbara's father Commissioner James Gordon. The film recently added Bad Boys For Life star Jacob Scipio in an undisclosed role.
The most interesting casting news so far has been Brendan Fraser being confirmed to portray the movie's villain. Although it was not revealed which DC comic book baddie he will portray, there are speculations that the Doom Patrol actor has been cast as either Firefly or Carmine Falcone. Hopefully, there will be new updates soon.
Batgirl has not yet been given an official production start date nor an official release date.
