LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Finally Getting New Gameplay Trailer


Lucasfilm might not have any specific updates on the films it has planned for the Star Wars film franchise post-Skywalker saga, however, there have been a number of reports about Star Wars games the past few days.

Yesterday, Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series launched on PlayStation VR. Star Wars Battlefront 2 got updated patch notes. News broke out that EA would be presenting a "world premiere new look" at Star Wars Squadrons during Gamescom Opening Night 2020.

Now, it looks like Star Wars gamers have another major news update. According to Gamescom and The Game Awards producer Geoff Knightley, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is getting its own gameplay world premiere during Opening Night Live.

The news was met with open arms by the Star Wars gaming community. There haven't been that many updates about the highly-anticipated installment in the Lego Star Wars video game series, which may come as a surprise to many seeing how the game is set for release in October this year.

Though some gamers believe that the Lego Star Wars videogames are repetitive in nature, there's been a lot of excitement over Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The new videogame allows gamers to play through their favorite moments in all of Star Wars nine main movies, and it offers the largest roster of playable characters in the LEGO Star Wars series.

We can't wait to see what other surprising features we'll get to learn about one the gameplay trailer drops at Gamescom.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is set to premiere on October 20, 2020.
