Viewers are drawn to the character's bubbly and carefree personality alongside a budding romance with Jung Joon Hyeong, portrayed by Nam Joo Hyuk.

However, she previously revealed that she gained weight to mimic an athlete's physique.

In an interview, as obtained by Soompi, the actress said that she "gained even more weight" while filming the drama.

"I kept gaining more and more weight. It was a matter of eating more and getting bloated in order to match with Bok Joo. I think my weight was at its peak during the middle of the drama," she said, adding, "I even thought about not losing the weight since my body had become muscular due to weightlifting."

At the time, she confessed that she became addicted to carbs and started seeing stretch marks on her body; however, these worries went away once she played Bok Joo.

Lee Sung Kyung Diet: How Did The Actress Return To Her Usual Weight?

During her appearance in JTBC's Please Take Care of My Refrigerator, the actress dishes out her tips and tricks to stay in shape.

Lee Sung Kyung's diet includes avoiding salty foods.

As obtained by AllKPop, it makes her bloat quickly, so it's the food that she usually refrains from snacking on.

In addition, the actress also stays away from flour and gluten because flour makes her bloat while gluten doesn't go well with her.

While revealing the food that she usually dodges, Lee Sung Kyung put emphasis on not starving yourself as a form of diet.

"I never starve myself to maintain my figure. I fear that if I starve myself, there will be a yo-yo [effect], so I slowly and deliciously enjoy cooking that is healthy," she explained.

In addition, to maintain her slim figure, she adds workout routines like cardio and core exercises to boost her metabolism.
