Lee Kwang Soo’s net worth proved that he is indeed one of the most sought-after comedians and actors in South Korea.

Many K-drama and K-pop fans thought Lee Kwang Soo began his career through Running Man. But little did they know, he started his career as a model in 2007 before debuting as an actor in the sitcom, Here He Comes, and immediately followed by High Kick Through the Roof.

Channel Korea quoted a source who revealed more details about Lee Kwang Soo’s finances. According to the insider, the Running Man star initially earned around $666 during the early days of his career.

But five years later, he started receiving around $166,400 per advertisement.

“He is also the star most sought to appear on Chinese variety shows, the cost of appearances on Chinese shows ranged from 50 million won to 100 million won (around $ 41,600 to $ 83,200) and the fee for targeting ads was around 400 million won (about $ 332,900),” the source went on.

Lee Kwang Soo also joined the highest-paid K-pop groups in 2017 – BIGBANG, EXO, SHINee – after earning 1 billion KRW ($893,000) in 2017 alone.

After leaving Running Man, Lee Kwang Soo immediately received more offers from different entertainment companies.

Most recently, he has been tapped to star in a new variety show alongside his former Running Man co-star, Yoo Jae Suk, and Girls’ Generation Yuri.

Walt Disney Company revealed that it would release The Zone: Endure to Live, where the three stars will enter an unknown virtual world where they need to endure everything no matter what.

It remains unknown when Disney+ will release it, but Running Man fans are excited to see the two funnymen together again.
