Actor Lee Ki Woo is gearing up to star in his first period Kdrama series with Flower That Blooms at Night on MBC.
Lee Ki Woo's agency confirmed his appearance in the drama and revealed his role ahead of its release. The network has scheduled to drop the series in the second half of 2023.
Lee Ki Woo To Star in Flower That Blooms at Night Kdrama Series
Neverdie Entertainment (via The Korea Times) said that Lee Ki Woo would play the role of a noble named Park Yoon Hak in the upcoming MBC Kdrama series.
His character is one of the king's trusted men. Despite having a careless attitude, he does his job with a sense of responsibility.

Lee Ki Woo will work with Lee Ha Nee and Lee Jong Won in the Flower That Blooms at Night, which will serve as his first-ever period Kdrama. He recently starred in the 2023 series, Agency, and has since appeared in other shows and movies, including My Liberation Notes, Doctor Detective, Fates & Furies, Just Between Lovers, Cat Chef, and Woman of Dignity, among others.
Flower That Blooms at Night Kdrama series will explore the life of Jo Yeo Hwa (Lee Ha Nee) and senior officer Park Soo Ho (Lee Jong Won), who gives her a new perspective on life after her husband died.
Amid her quiet and secluded life, she still dedicates herself to helping people in need.
Lee Ki Woo Scores New Movie Role
Apart from his Kdrama series, Lee Ki Woo is also set to star in his first film since the 2016 Time Renegades.
His agency confirmed that the actor had been cast after previous reports confirmed appearances of Park Sung Joon, Choi Hee Seo, and Kim Min Ha.
The crime thriller film Exposure tells the story of two childhood friends who meet 20 years later as a murderer and a police officer. Lee Ki Woo's character in the movie is yet to be confirmed.
While he is busy with his career, Lee Ki Woo also announced his marriage through a heartfelt Instagram post.
