The Hotel Del Luna star hasn’t eaten carbohydrates for about six years now. Not only that, though, he’s also on a diet to prepare for his role in the SBS series.
"I see Lee Joon Gi often and have personal conversations with him, but he said that he also dieted for quite a while,” Jung Sang Hoon said in an episode of Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant, via AllKpop. "He hasn't eaten carbs at all for about six years."
"There was a convenience store scene filming once and (Lee Joon Gi) said, 'Oh, I ate this a long time ago,” he continued. “I want to eat it so bad but I'm resisting.' Really, that's not something easy. He said he eats tofu instead of carbohydrates.”
Lee Joon Gi’s Role as College Student
Meanwhile, Lee Joon Gi is set to play a role of a college student in Again My Life, surprising every one of his ageless visuals. SBS recently unveiled new promotional snaps for the show, giving fans a glimpse of what they’re about to see, per Soompi.
In the pictures, the actor could be seen in action, getting ready to punish the “inner circle of villains,” a.k.a. the political spiderweb. This group will star Lee Kyung Young as Jo Tae Sub, Choi Kwang II as Kim Seok Hoon, Kim Hyung Muk as Jung Il Hyun, Hyun Woo Sung as Doctor K and Kim Jin Woo as Choi Kang Jin.
Lee Joon Gi could also be seen as a hard-working student of Hankuk University, studying law. He looks very much determined and firmed as he eyes to be a top student.
