Lee Ji Han, one of Mnet’s Produce 101 Season 2 participants, is one of the 154 people who died in the Itaewon tragedy on Saturday, October 29. He was 25 years old.
Tens of thousands of people gathered on Itaewon's narrow street and alleyways to celebrate the first in-person Halloween after three years. But instead of fan festivities, the supposed-to-be happy event turned into a real horror story, and Lee Jin Han was one of the victims.
Lee Ji Han’s Untimely Passing
The late actor’s agency, 935 Entertainment, released an official statement about its talent’s untimely passing on Sunday, October 30.
“Actor Lee Ji-han, who is like part of our precious family, left our side and became a star in the sky,” it said, via Korea JoongAng Daily.
“We send our deepest condolences to his surviving family, who are deeply saddened by the sudden tragic news, and those who have loved Lee and mourn his death,” it continued. “We still remember Lee, who always had a big smile and greeted people with energy. He was a bright and pure person, and we cannot believe that we cannot see him anymore.”

“Please send your warm regards as Lee leaves our side too early. We will also remember Lee, who shined beautifully with passion for acting,” it added.
According to AllKpop, Lee Ji Han’s mortuary will be held at the funeral hall of Myongji Hospital, while the funeral will take place on Tuesday, November 1.
Some of his friends, like Park Heeseok, Jo Jinhyung, and Kim Dohyun, honored Lee Ji Han’s life by remembering their fun memories together. The four worked together during Produce 101 Season 2, which aired in 2017.

Lee Ji Han’s Credits
Aside from Produce 101 Season 2, Lee Ji Han was also seen on the web drama, Today was Another Namhyun Day.
He would also be part of the new MBC fantasy romance drama series. He played the role of an ex-boyfriend of the drama’s lead and finished filming his parts last month.
