Ozark Star Laura Linney Will Make Directorial Debut in Season 4, Part 2


Four-time Emmy Award winner and Ozark star Laura Linney is making her directorial debut in the final season of Netflix's acclaimed crime thriller series. Deadline reports that Linney will be directing an episode of Ozark Season 4, Part 2, as the show approaches its highly anticipated conclusion.

Ozark Season 4 was divided into two parts, with the first part of the final season premiering on Netflix on January 21, consisting of the first seven episodes of the season's total of 14. Linney, who plays Wendy Byrde in the show, will be directing the 11th episode of Season 4.

Linney is an award-winning actress with a list of awards, winning an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie in 2002, 2008, and 2013 for her performance on Wild Iris, John Adams, and The Big C: The 58-year-old actress has also been nominated for two Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, five Tony Awards, one BAFTA Award, two Independent Spirit Awards, and three Oscars while also having won a SAG Award and two Golden Globes.

As for her performance on Ozark, Linney was nominated for the Emmy of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in both 2019 and 2020, and a Critics’ Choice Television Awards for Best Actress in a Drama Series in 2021.

The series also stars Jason Bateman, Julia Garner, Sofia Hublitz, Skylar Gaertner, Jessica Frances Dukes, Felix Solis, Damian Young, Alfonso Herrera, Adam Rothenberg, Richard Thomas, John Bedford Lloyd, Joseph Sikora, Bruno Bichir, CC Castillo, Katrina Lenk, Bruce Davison, Ali Stroker, and Veronica Falcón.
